Management Team
Keith Reid
President / Partner
Keith began in
the factoring business in 1975 upon receiving his Bachelor's and
Master's degrees in Business Administration from Southern Methodist
University in Dallas. Keith teamed up with Harold Goodman in 1979,
and has facilitated the company's strong growth experienced since
such time, much of which has come to us in the form of referrals
from our many satisfied current and past clients. Keith's rich
expertise and experience among the retail credit community has
served the many clients of Goodman Factors quite well, by averting
potential credit losses through effective credit management. Goodman
and its clients, for the greatest part, have been able to avoid
massive credit losses experienced by others with the unprecedented
number of bankruptcy filings recorded in the last 10 years.
Bret Schuch
Senior Vice President, Partner
Bret joined
the company in 1992 in a sales capacity, having spent the previous
ten years in the commercial banking industry. Bret holds a
Bachelor's degree from Baylor University in Waco. Bret has helped
foster the company through a period of extensive growth experienced
over the last ten years by further expanding its presence among
markets outside of Texas.
Jessie Valdivia
Vice President
Jessie has
more than sixteen years of sales and management experience. His
background in the transportation industry has equipped him with a
solid understanding of the needs and the operations of fleet
companies. As vice-president of sales for a wholesale apparel
company, he gained extensive knowledge in manufacturing, delivery
deadlines, credit, collections and customer service. Having run a
small business, his insight is beneficial to the needs of our
clients.
Dan Shepherd
Vice President – Denver Office
Dan has spent
his entire career in credit and marketing and brings over
twenty-five years of experience in commercial lending and factoring
to the Goodman team. He is familiar with the working capital needs
of manufacturers, wholesalers and service related companies of all
types and size. Dan has been actively involved in providing
financing to businesses in virtually every state in the U.S., as
well as several provinces on Canada. His prior experience includes
positions of Vice President and Director of Marketing for the
commercial finance subsidiaries of two Fortune 500 companies.
Iain Michie
Vice President – Tyler Office
Goodman is
fortunate to have someone of Iain’s experience. Iain has spent his
entire career in the factoring and asset-based industry since
emigrating from Scotland to Canada in 1956. Iain operated a
well-known and respected factoring firm in Dallas for over 10 years
until the firm was sold in 2002. Iain joined Goodman in 2004 with
the goal of expanding the company’s presence in East Texas markets.
Jim Gillespie
Vice President – Detroit Office
As with the
rest of the Goodman team, Jim adds a rich background of factoring
and asset based lending to an already strong team of professionals.
Jim has over 22 years of experience in providing working capital
solutions to a wide variety of businesses nationwide. Jim joined the
Goodman team in early 2006 with the intent of growing our presence
in the Great Lakes market.
Paul Ellenbogen
Vice President – Credit and Collections
Not unlike the
rest of the management team, Paul brings a wealth of experience to
the table. Paul graduated from Pace University in New York City
with a degree in Business Administration in 1965, and has spent his
entire career with factoring and asset-based firms in New York,
Dallas, and Orlando.
Harold Goodman
Chairman Emeritus
Harold's
experience in this industry dates back to 1958 when he joined
Merchant's Factors in Dallas, having graduated from the University
of Texas and having spent two years in the armed services. Harold
founded Goodman Factors in 1972, using the small amount of savings
he had accumulated along with some loans from his family. He has
watched the company grow from invoice purchases of less than $1
million in his first year to over $250 million today. Though no
longer an owner, Harold still maintains an office on site which he
visits virtually every day.
